How to take your dress from an extremely casual day to an understated elegant night
This month's challenge is hosted by Ski Petite.
The challenge:
“Put together an outfit made for sightseeing...to last you from the early morning until dinner and drinks in the evening.”
Night look for dinner and drinks:
Day look for sightseeing:
On vacation, when I am not splashing in the water or enjoying food, I am taking photos outside or enjoying museums. So, light layers and flats are a must for me.
Here I am wearing the dress from above as a pseudo tulip skirt. Belting the skirt gives it a cleaner finish.
♥ Thanks for reading and supporting my blog! ♥

Great job with the challenge. I would totally wear a dress as a skirt. The color of this dress compliments your skin tone well.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea about transforming your look by adding a shirt over a dress - you totally can't even tell that's what you've done, and it looks so stylish.
ReplyDeleteFashionista!!! Super CUTE!!
ReplyDeleteLOVE it!! Awesome transformation from casual to Super Elegant....Bravo!
ReplyDeleteVery cute dress! I've never worn a dress as a skirt, but I love to see how other ladies change it up like that!
ReplyDeleteWhat a neat idea to wear a top over your dress and turn it into a skirt.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea using the dress as a skirt! The color is gorgeous! And I love your sandals!!
ReplyDeleteThat grey wrap dress is amazing! And how resourceful to also use it as a skirt. Both pairs of your shoes are really sharp. Great looks! :D

This is the most creative outfit I've seen to date for this challenge! Ahhh the days when BR sold 100% silk dresses...now if we can find 100% anything natural we're lucky...lots of 100% polyester...grrr! SO sorry you were not able to get that H&M blouse...I can see if they still have it, would you like for me to get it for you? If so...what size, I am wearing a 2 in the pix...
ReplyDeletesuch a great way to restyle that already gorgeous dress!!! I really am loving the casual look-- would never have thought of that!

@ Everyone
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting and commenting! I am glad you enjoyed the outfit and option of dress worn as a skirt-I liked making a big switch between the sightseeing and night look. & like Bravoe I miss the days of 100% silk at Banana Republic!
Ooh I love that gray dress! Also, how do you stay so tan??
ReplyDeleteThanks and to answer your question, I go for spray tans! The trick is to find a person who actually sprays you. They can customize the color to how you want rather than the Ooompa Loompa 1 color sprays all approach ;)
