I tried on this feminine party dress because of the petite friendly length but I actually would prefer it shorter and with a slightly fuller bottom. I also did not care for the seem on the side of the top.

The price was fair at $49.95 but I do not need another sheath dress at this time and it was not worth it to me to invest in the alterations I would want for this piece even though I like the shimmering blue color.
Although I tend to stay away from polyester, I like the versatility of this top. It works belted or unbelted and I imagine it works well tucked into skirts. Plus it is currently on sale for $14.95 from $24.95.
I love silk blouses but lately the upkeep turns me off. Two I bought from J Crew only lasted me through the summer but I have a random polyester and rayon maxi dress that I have owned since high school and is still in perfect condition. Is this just bad luck or do you have similar experiences?

ReplyDeleteI really like the first dress and I did not see that at our H&M In downtown Chicago so I have no idea if I just glazed past it or what! I tend to dry clean most of my items and usually stay away from polyester if possible. Clothes are just not made with quality materials anymore, since cotton prices increased this year, manufacturers are using lower quality materials and blending stuff...that really does not hold up well.

I like that white dress on you though it is a big longer than I'll like. I also did not see that at our H&M. Bummer, I would have liked to wear it to a social event.
